Small-ship cruise operator Alaskan Dream Cruises has ceased operations as of 4 February 2026, according to a short statement posted to its website.
“Effective immediately, Alaskan Dream Cruises has ceased business operations and will no longer be operating future sailings,” says the statement. “We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the past 15 years.”
Since its inception in 2011, Alaskan Dream Cruises has offered small-ship, expedition-style cruises exclusively in Alaskan waters, using an eclectic fleet of American-flagged vessels. These include the catamaran Alaskan Dream and the small near-sisters Admiralty Dream and Baranof Dream, all of which are laid up in Sitka.
Alaskan Dream Cruises had released its 2026 schedule last spring, with plans to operate over 100 individual sailings this year.
The company, which is owned by Allen Marine Tours – one of Alaska’s largest shore excursion providers – was rumoured to have been up for sale in 2024. Allen Marine operations are not affected.
The departure of Alaskan Dream Cruises leaves competitor UnCruise Adventures as the sole Alaska-based small-ship cruise operator, though US-flagged operators in Alaska also include Lindblad Expeditions and American Cruise Lines.
